About me

I am an Associate Professor in the Division of Applied Social Sciences at University of Missouri. My research interests focus upon the intersection between agricultural activities and the environment. The main goal of my research is to shed light on the drivers of agricultural firm-level decision-making and resource allocation, and to examine how these decisions affect producers’ economic performance and environmental quality. I employ econometric and mathematical programming techniques, develop survey tools, and analyze large panel data sets to better understand economic decision-making, and evaluate the impact of current and prospective policies on the sustainability of the agricultural sector.

A few specific areas in which I have been contacting research include the economics of productivity and efficiency in arable and livestock farming, risk analysis in the agricultural sector, agricultural and environmental policy analysis, and agricultural technology adoption and evaluation.
